The recent disaster in Nepal is a stark reminder that the climate crisis is not some potential future problem, but something that the human race is already living through.
The wildfires in the summer brought this right to our doors. It is still possible to mitigate the worst effects of climate change, but it requires immediate action from our political and industrial leaders- action that it is incumbent upon all of us to push for.
We have donated £100 of our group funds to the Red Cross and Red Crescent appeal to help people in Nepal. We encourage anyone who can afford it to do the same.
